On March 19th, a China Europe freight train loaded with 152 domestic brand commercial vehicles in 55 containers departed from Harbin International Container Center Station and exited the Suifenhe Railway Port. From January to February 2024, the number of China Europe freight trains departing from Harbin and the export volume of goods both increased by more than 250% compared with the same period of last year. Among them, commercial vehicles accounted for 52.4%, with a value of over 250 million Yuan, both reaching new historical highs over the same period, with a growing trend in the export of commercial vehicles.

In 2023, Harbin successively opened the China-Europe freight train operation routes for commercial vehicles, used cars, and new energy vehicles. At present, the automobile transportation freight train operates 5 times monthly, with an average operation time of about 15 days, achieving a stable operation. At the end of 2023, with the opening of a new route for the transportation of commercial vehicles by China Europe freight train in Tongjiang, the "East Passage" of the China Europe freight train, Manzhouli, Suifenhe, and Tongjiang Railway Port, has become one of the most important transportation channels for commercial vehicles in China. Now, it has reached 13 European countries, connected more than 60 cities in China, and operated 24 routes, with the transportation time of only one-third of sea transportation, and the transportation cost of about one-fifth of air transportation.

At the same time, China Railway Harbin Group Co., Ltd. (briefly called as Harbin Railway) that adopted a new type of double decker railway freight vehicles has currently operated 22 freight trains for commercial vehicles. Among them, the proportion of goods exported through ports to countries such as South Korea and Australia is close to one-third, with a value of over 540 million Yuan, achieving a historical peak over the same period. Since the beginning of the year, Harbin Railway has shipped over 6600 commercial vehicles, with a year-on-year increase of 3.7%, realizing a stable growth.
