The 10th Harbin International Fashion Week 2024 Will Grandly Open on January 11th at the West Red Square

On January 8th, 2024 Harbin International Fashion Week press conference was held at the Harbin City Press Conference Hall. Participants include Jiang Xiaoning, President of Harbin Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Jiao Pei, Full time Vice President and Secretary General of China Clothing Association, and Wang Limei, Special Invited Vice President of China Textile Industry Federation, President of Heilongjiang Clothing and Footwear Industry Association, and General Manager of Hongbo Commerce.

Themed with the fashion decade of "the Belt and Road", the 10th Harbin International Fashion Week 2024 will be unveiled at the West Red Square in Harbin from January 11 to 16. Under the guidance of the China Textile Industry Federation, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Heilongjiang Province, the Department of Commerce of Heilongjiang Province, and the Department of Culture and Tourism of Heilongjiang Province, this Harbin International Fashion Week is jointly organized by the Harbin Municipal People's Government, the China Fashion Association, the China Fashion Designers Association, the Heilongjiang Clothing and Footwear Industry Association, and Hongbo Commerce and jointly undertaken by the Harbin Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the People's Government of Nangang District, and West Red Square.

Harbin International Fashion Week that has been successfully held for nine sessions, focusing on both "Creative Design" and "Market Promotion", promotes the high-quality development of the Longjiang clothing industry by integrating global fashion resources with an international perspective. Up to now, more than 1300 international designers from over 70 countries and regions have made global releases at Harbin International Fashion Week. Revealing its radiation and driving capabilities, Harbin International Fashion Week has been widely recognized and highly praised by the Chinese clothing industry and international designers, thus injecting new vitality into the development of Harbin's fashion creative industry.

The 10th Harbin International Fashion Week 2024 will be divided into five major sections: "Show, Conference, Signing, Exhibition, and Festivals", with a series of innovative and exciting activities such as the International Designer Release Show, Top 100 Garment Brands Show, Longjiang Intangible Cultural Heritage Fashion Show, World Fashion Designer and Buyer Matching Salon, Harbin Fashion Week 10th Anniversary Review Exhibition, and the Ice City Fashion Festival for all people. The China Textile Industry Federation will also promote the "Headquarters of China's Textile and Clothing Industry Opening Up and Development to the North", and build a new highland of opening up to the north in the textile and clothing industry in cooperation with Harbin Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Harbin Institute of Technology High tech, and Hongbo Commerce. Compared with previous sessions, this year’s Harbin International Fashion Week will present five highlights: "International Design + Ice and Snow", "Intangible Cultural Heritage Clothing + Ice and Snow", "Technological Aesthetics + Ice and Snow", "Industry Upgrade + Ice and Snow", and "Fashion Show + Ice and Snow Carnival".

Highlight 1: "International Design + Ice and Snow

At this Harbin Fashion Week, 30 globally renowned international designers from 26 countries and regions, including China, Russia, France, Thailand, and Singapore, will make the global debut of their works. Each international designer has also designed fashionable clothing with ice and snow as the theme specifically for this fashion week for a joint release show at the opening ceremony, presenting a gift to Harbin in the name of ice and snow fashion.

Highlight 2: "Intangible Cultural Heritage Clothing + Ice and Snow"

As one of the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage in Heilongjiang, the clothing of ethnic minorities in Longjiang shows the gorgeousness and diversity of cultural heritage of Longjiang in a vivid manner. The opening ceremony of this Harbin Fashion Week will wonderfully showcase the Longjiang Intangible Cultural Heritage Fashion Show, creating a "World Fashion" where Longjiang Intangible Cultural Heritage clothing and international fashion clothing add radiance and beauty to each other and cause collision and intermingling. Longjiang Intangible Cultural Heritage clothing culture will shine on the international fashion stage, showcasing its inheritance and innovation.

Highlight 3: "Technological Aesthetics + Ice and Snow"

This Fashion Week highlights the display and application of new technologies and materials in the field of clothing fashion. Huang Junxun, a renowned Chinese designer who graduated from the School of Fashion at Academy of Arts &Design, Tsinghua University, founded the most popular functional outdoor fashion brand TRICKCOO, which pursued the diversified integration of nature and technology, as well as functionality and fashion. He will launch his latest works globally during this year's Fashion Week, showcasing the fashion aesthetic value of "Ice and Snow + Technology".

Highlight 4: "Industrial Upgrade + Ice and Snow"

At this Fashion Week, the "Conference of China's Textile and Clothing Industry Opening Up and Development to the North" will be held. At the Conference, Sun Ruizhe, President of the China Textile Industry Federation, will give a keynote speech, the Ministry of Commerce, the President of the Top Ten Clothing Industry Associations in China, experts and scholars, and business leaders will also focus on the theme of China's textile and clothing industry opening up and development to the north, including the industrial layout, marketing channels, cultural consensus, policy interpretation and other hot topics from Chinese brands to the international, providing advice and suggestions for Chinese textile and clothing brands to go abroad.

During the Fashion Week, the China Textile Industry Federation will also collaborate with Harbin Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Harbin Institute of Technology High tech, and Hongbo Commerce to promote the "Headquarter of China's Textile and Clothing Industry Opening Up and Development to the North", wherein lots of well-known domestic brands will settle to build a highland for clothing brands. It is dedicated to intensively expanding the market to the north, establishing the public image of Chinese brands, creating the "China Harbin" public brand logo, and leading high-quality Chinese brands from Harbin to the world.

Highlight 5: "Fashion Show + Ice and Snow Carnival"

Since it coincides with the extremely high popularity of the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival both domestically and internationally, Harbin International Fashion Week will provide another fashionable feast for Harbin's ice and snow culture, putting on a gorgeous garment for Harbin's ice and snow. With various fashion experience activities such as the magnificent "Fashion Ice and Snow Queen", After party attended by international designers, anime and creative festivals, fashion beauty salons, and national runway shows, it will attract citizens and tourists to form a strong atmosphere of "Watching Models, Appreciating Fashion, and Enjoying Ice And Snow", thus adding glory to Harbin's ice and snow festival.

At the beginning of 2024, Harbin International Fashion Week will showcase the charm of ice and snow, display its beauty of fashion, aggregate the essence of creativity, and gather the power of the city through industrial innovation to further promote the integration and development of Harbin's fashion industry with related industries such as ice and snow, economy and trade, art, and technology, to embark on a new journey for Chinese brands from Harbin to the world, and to play a colorful music chapter in the development of fashion industry under the new development pattern in Harbin!
