Volga Manor chosen as host site for Finlandia Skiing Marathon

Volga Manor, a theme park in Harbin themed around Russian culture, has been selected as the host site for the 1st Harbin (Finlandia) Skiing Marathon, according to information released by the organizing committee on July 14.

The event is an important part of the 2019 China-Finland Winter Sports Theme Year and will be held in January 2020.

Around 3,000 amateur and professional skiers from home and abroad will gather in Harbin to compete.

The government of Harbin signed a cooperation agreement with the Finland Skiing Association in Beijing on Jan 15 to introduce the Finlandia Skiing Marathon, one of the most influential skiing marathons in the world.

The 1st Harbin (Finlandia) Skiing Marathon has already been reviewed by the International Ski Federation (FIS) and has been placed on the event list on the federation’s official website.
